saw this a while back, leant it to friend today and thought i would write about it here.

the background to this story is pretty interesting, Larry Clark directing his debut feature -making a move from photography covering similar subjects to Kids, Harmony Korine penning it in a couple of weeks fresh from dropping out of N.Y uni, having met Clark whilst skating.

it is a really disgusting, horrible film though. However I really want to watch it again, it's only that i made myself remember after watching it just how important it was to my mental wellbeing that i never watch it again. So for now i'm not going to.

everyone should see it once though. at least everyone who holds some interest in indie films and just what it was to be a part of that scene.

it is shot very well and it really gives a sense of being in new york.

good pace and really natural dialogue exposes these characters brilliantly.

if this film was shown in place of sex education lessons i think kids would get the message quicker.
