Limits Of Control
This little film by Jim Jarmusch is almost like Broken Flowers but how Bill Murray might imagine things are going in his head. It is a very similar film in fact.
It follows the path of a cool assassin type guy as he makes his way across Spain, picking up clues/instructions as to where the mark is. maybe. Like BF it follows the pattern of traveling then meeting, traveling then meeting. Occasionally there will be waiting thrown in. The meetings are quite delightful little conversations usually with one of the 'stars' of the film; Tilda Swinton, Gael Garcia Bernal, John Hurt... They each talk about something that interests them/the director.
Somehow it all works. It is inventive, clever and has a serene look.
I want to see more of Jarmusch's films. Have been meaning to track down Coffee and Cigarettes for a long time.
