Into The Wild Empty Into The Wild

Another piece in the all consuming myth of the road that can't be tested until you take the jump yourself. It stirs the idea that one should just up and leave and live. An ever tempting option amid coursework, work, money, stuff.

Emile Hirsch is pretty cool as usual, very hip in them glasses, but that's irrelevant. The character is a good kinda guy and sure as hell knows his quotes.

Made by Gus Van Sant Sean Penn (not sure where i got GVS from) so that's always good right.

Alaska as well as the rest of America is shot beautifully.

i love this film.

is is so beautiful, a real riff on life. it is true. and it feels true -because things happen in a way that would never come from imagination in that way, the people he meets and his whole drive, it has life.

feel like i should take the time to watch this in one go some time, and soon.

don't really want to write to much about this film technically. visually it feels akin to films like I'm Not There, slick and controlled cinematography with style of now- the result of the whole post modernist vibe. possibly.
