Body of Lies

I think i was expecting more from this film.

I thought the performances were good.

Thing is though, i just don't see the point in making this sort of film. It is the kind of thing hollywood can do these days to look meaningful, provide a commentary on the state of politics and war and terrorism. But it's done in such a lazy way that it doesn't mean anything, it doesn't tell us anything new. It may attempt to reveal the workings of US forces but it seems happy to leave the terrorists as simple as possible.

I wanted it to mean something.

The next day I realised we had been watching it as the attack in Mumbai was unfolding.
