Raising Arizona

Had been really eager to see this despite not knowing anything about it other than that it was by the Coen brothers.

It is quite a warm film and kind of similar in set up to the big lebowski. I read a book about them a while back and it discusses all these themes that are consistant throughout their work, such as 'screaming fat men' aka John Goodman.

The pastiche approach to their filmmaking gives a really charming feel to the film, helped by Nicholas Cage's heavy accent.
