Hunger by Steeve McQueen
After we had watched this movie, none of us spoke to each other till we got back to the bus stop. It was like i had just watched someone die.
And thats all i can really say. I would recomend that you watch it, but don't expect 90 minute of a man on a hunger strike.

finally saw this at the weekend.
not really having a great understanding of the events taking place at the time -and still continuing now, the film was able to become more personal, about the people involved and their personal struggles instead of the wider political situation. This was made even more effective by the steady focus just on people within the maze prison.

Re: Hunger by Steeve McQueen
Or just got bored.
I saw it at the phoenix, again I new very little about 'Bobby Sans', The 'no wash' or 'Blanket' protests.
A film taking a very different angle.
I couldn't convince myself I disliked it, I saw it more as a horrific piece of art than a 'good film'.
